True spring weather will arrive in east-central Ohio this week and we finally get into some warm temperatures. Expect cloud-free skies through much of Monday and afternoon temperatures near or slightly above climate averages today.
Dry conditions, sunshine, and warming temperatures will continue through mid-week. Each day we’ll tack on a few degrees and by Wednesday afternoon temperatures across the Valley should reach 80 degrees or so.
Clouds will increase by Wednesday as a cold front slides across the upper Great Lakes region but moisture with this system should keep well north of the Tuscarawas Valley.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
Some modelling brings a series of weak disturbances across eastern Ohio on Thursday. With so much uncertainty between models that do and those that don’t, I’ve elected to include a chance for spotty showers Thursday for now. We’ll just have to wait and see if the models can come to some sort of agreement on how this will play out.
With a cold front approaching Thursday night we can expect likely chances for rain. Thunderstorms will visit Friday afternoon as the cold front crosses the region. The cold front will weaken as it crosses so I’m not expecting any strong or severe weather.
Temperatures on Thursday will remain near 80 degrees but with rain and clouds around on Friday we’ll drop back to the low/mid 70s on Friday.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK
Temperatures will be cooler but remain seasonal behind the front over the weekend. Dry and sunny conditions return with high pressure in control once again.
Overall, the trend looks to be seasonably mild temperatures over the next couple of weeks.
Thanks for reading todays Tuscarawas Valley weather update. Have a great Monday!
