Saturday Morning Weekend Weather Update

A weak cold front is draped across northwest Ohio this morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead and along the boundary as it slides south and approaches east-central Ohio this afternoon.

In all honesty, you’ll have a 50/50 shot at either rain or a storm through the afternoon as the front crosses. Any activity today will be scattered about, so if you have outdoor plans today, be mindful of a spotty shower or storm just about anytime through mid-afternoon.

SIMULATED radar for today through 1:00 AM Sunday:

Showers and storms will quickly exit late this afternoon as the frontal boundary shifts south of our area. High pressure will gradually build in from the north overnight tonight. It will be a nice evening with decreasing clouds and temperatures in the mid-70s.

There is not much of a potential for severe storms today. However, some storms across the region could put down brief heavy rain. They’ll scoot along fairly quickly, so there isn’t much of a flood potential either.

Sunday will bring a nice late summer day with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will warm to the low/ mid-80s in the afternoon.
