Colder Temperatures and Snow Showers Are Likely Tuesday Night and Wednesday

After a string of warm temperatures to start the week, colder air rushing into the area behind a cold front will bring the potential for snow showers to the Tuscarawas Valley by mid-week.

Rain showers are expected Sunday night and will continue into Monday. Rain will likely taper off Monday night but then return to the Valley on Tuesday. A cold front will cross the area Tuesday night, bringing much colder air to the area and allowing a transition to snow showers early Wednesday morning.

Snow showers are forecast to continue through Wednesday before tapering off to flurries toward the latter part of the day.

Snow accumulation in our area so far looks minor, with most locations seeing less than an inch. We’re still a couple of days out, so look for adjustments in the forecast in the coming days. This is just to give folks a heads-up.

I’ll post daily snow forecast updates daily so watch for those. Basically, I don’t see anything at this time that would warrant any travel concerns for the Wednesday commute.
