Dry with warming temperatures through mid week

A bit cooler today but mainly dry weather and warming temperatures are expected through mid week. The next chance for rain will come on Thursday with the next weather system crossing east-central Ohio.

A cold front that crossed the region this morning is well east and south of us. Cooler air behind the front will keep daytime highs this afternoon a bit cooler but it will still be a nice day across the Valley. temperatures this afternoon will top out in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees today.

High pressure builds over the region tonight and Tuesday bringing us mostly sunny conditions and warming temperatures through Wednesday.

Decent wind shear and instability will lead to possible severe storms Wednesday night to the west with an approaching cold front. Storms should weaken as they travel east Wednesday night.

Computer models are pretty much in agreement of a cold front crossing on Thursday bringing our next chance for showers.

With this thing coming through ahead of max daytime heating odds for thunder look weak but everyone will get in on some rain Thursday with this system. A rumble or two of thunder will be possible Thursday evening as the front crosses but nothing severe is expected here at this time.

With the clouds and rain around, temperatures will be a bit cooler but most places should still see afternoon highs around the mid 70s.

Friday looks like a dry but cloudier day with high pressure passing briefly to the north. We will need to keep low odds for scattered showers going on Saturday with a warm front lifting through the region. Odds for rain will be a little better on Sunday with low pressure crossing the Great Lakes dragging a cold front across the region.

It doesn’t appear that the weekend will be a wash out but showers will be possible from time to time. Temperatures will remain warm with afternoon highs in the low 80s.
