Showers and thunderstorms associated with an upper-level disturbance should stay north of the region this morning. Much like yesterday, east-central Ohio should have pleasant weather this morning.
Shower and thunderstorm odds will increase around lunch time this afternoon. Spotty showers and storms will be around for much of the afternoon but should push off to the east this evening. Simulated radar through midnight from the hi-res model:
there is a small chance that a couple of afternoon storms could get a little feisty. An isolated severe storm or two is not out of the question. Gusty wind and hail are possible in the strongest storms. Brief, heavy rain is also possible in a few cells. The Storm Prediction Center has all of east-central Ohio highlighted in the Marginal Risk (1/5) category.
Temperatures this afternoon will be warm with afternoon highs in the low 80s.
Shower and thunderstorm chances will diminish this evening as cooler and drier air sinks southward this evening and we should remain mostly dry overnight.
Wednesday will bring the best odds for a dry day. Afternoon shower and thunderstorm chances will return on Wednesday mainly during the afternoon but most of tomorrow’s activity will set up south of I-70. Afternoon temperatures should again top out in the low 80s.
