Sunday will bring a warm and humid day to the Valley. Afternoon temperatures will reach the upper 80s in most locations. A crossing disturbance riding east through Ohio will provide the trigger for showers and storms to develop. There remain some differences in the timing of this feature, but generally, the best chances for a shower or storm will be mid to late afternoon.
SUNDAY’S SEVERE THREAT
Much like Saturday, Sunday’s severe weather threat will be pretty low here in the Valley. An isolated gusty storm is certainly possible during the heat of the day. The better chances for severe thunderstorms will be in northern and northwest portions of Ohio.
That does not keep our area free and clear of severe weather, though. Be aware that a strong/severe storm locally can’t be ruled out this afternoon.
We can expect hot and humid weather to start the work week. Monday will be the hottest and muggiest day of the week where afternoon temperatures will hover around the 90° mark. Tuesday and Wednesday will have that muggy July feel as well but high temperatures look to come in a couple/few degrees cooler.
A cold front will sweep through east-central Ohio on Wednesday. Cooler and less humid conditions will move in for Thursday and Friday.
