It’s been quite some time since we’ve had any appreciable rain here in the Valley and many folks are beginning to wonder if we’ll ever see rain again. The last time we received rain of any consequence locally was back on September 1st.
Normally we would expect to have about 2 inches of rain by this time so things are starting to get pretty dry.
High pressure will maintain dry conditions locally through the weekend – good news if your plans include the fair this weekend. Our next best chances of seeing some rain locally will arrive on Sunday night with a slow-moving cold front.
Monday actually looks like a fairly wet day as this system slowly moves through the region. We may see a half-inch of rain with this Sunday night through Monday.
Dry weather will return with cooler temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday but the longer-range outlooks call for warmer than average temperatures to continue through the end of the month.
Temperatures may not only be warm, but it also appears that rain will be hard to come by.
