I mentioned this in an article airlier this week but it’s now become necessary to update. Summer just doesn’t want to give up. A heatwave will get underway this weekend and several high temperature records for New Phila will be challenged the coming days.
Here are the days where the high temperature will either be matched or exceeded locally:
A cold front will slide through east-central Ohio toward the end of next week. That’s going to bring a pattern shift as much colder air settles in behind the front. Temperatures locally will much cooler and closer to seasonal readings or cooler for next weekend. So, if you enjoy the warmth, relish this weekend.
September is on track to be THE warmest September in recent years. I’ve not done the complete research yet, but it could even be the hottest September on record for the Valley. I’ll wait until Tuesday to see if that pans out.
