Scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm will be possible Thursday afternoon with a cold front. There is not a big threat for severe thunderstorms locally but any storm will be capable of producing gusty wind.
Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, warm and muggy with a gusty west wind particularly after lunchtime through early evening. Some gusts could reach 20 to 25 mph at times.
The cold air arriving Friday and another reinforcing cold front due on Sunday will signal a dramatic pattern change. Tomorrow is likely to be THE last day we see temperatures in the 80s for quite some time.
NOTE: Today’s Dew Point Trend update is probably the last of the season. I do not see anything going forward that hints of a warm and humid day. I can’t rule out a warm day in the upper 70s sneaking in at some point, but it would not last much more than a day or two. The dew point graphic will return next spring.
