Dry Saturday; Mixed precipitation and snow showers return this evening

Here we are. February first already. But February is the month where we start to see the end of winter. The worst of the cold is behind us and average temperatures across the Valley begin to warm. Average daytime highs go from 30° early in the month to 45° on the 29th. This warming trend continues until July.

We also gain a fair amount of daylight during February. We will gain 1-hour and 9-minutes of additional daylight by the end of the month as the sun creeps farther north in the sky.

Saturday will bring yet another mostly cloudy and dry day to the Valley. The bulk of any winter precipitation should remain to our south along a stalled frontal boundary. Temperatures this afternoon will reach the upper-30s to near 40°.

Precipitation will return this evening as an upper-level disturbance crosses east-central Ohio. Look for a mix of rain and snow showers this evening, changing over to all snow tonight. Any accumulation will be light and no problems are expected on area roads.

FUTURECAST RADAR through midnight tonight

Snow showers will end before sunrise Sunday. Clouds Sunday morning will gradually clear and allow for some afternoon breaks and occasional sunshine. Highs Sunday will top out in the mid to upper-40s.
