Low pressure will track into the Upper Great Lakes region on Thursday while high pressure sets up over the Carolinas at the same time. The pressure gradient between these two systems will bring gusty southwest winds to eastern Ohio.
WINDS WILL NOT BE AS STRONG AS THEY WERE ON SUNDAY. However, skies are forecast to be mostly sunny on Thursday across the region which leads to the potential for some good mixing in the afternoon. The strongest winds are likely to set up over northwestern Ohio but gusts here in east-central Ohio could still gust 25 – 35 mph at times.
Wind Advisories will be possible in some locations – mainly in Ohio counties north and west of our area.
2:45 PM EST UPDATE: A Wind Advisory has been issued for portions of north-central and northeast Ohio.
Otherwise, temperatures will rise tonight as a warm front lifts through the Valley. Expect Thursday to be a sun-filled day locally. Afternoon highs will be in the upper-50s to around 60°.
As always, be safe out there.
