As of Sunday morning, there have been no significant changes in the forecast over the next few days. Rain showers Sunday morning and afternoon will mix with and change over to snow showers as temperatures cool to freezing Sunday night.

Occasional lake-enhanced snow showers will continue Monday and Tuesday. By far, the heavier amounts of snow are likely to occur in the primary snowbelt regions along Lake Erie. Some of those stronger snow bands will probably stretch far enough south into our area.

Ground temperatures are still in the 40s, so any snow accumulation by Monday morning should be confined to elevated surfaces and grassy areas. Additional snow showers that occur on Monday and Tuesday will be highly dependent on the intensity of individual snow bands that propagate southward. In addition, temperatures will likely climb above freezing on Monday, making additional significant snow accumulation difficult.
By Monday night/Tuesday, winds will become more westerly, steering lake effect snow showers more toward far northeastern Ohio and northwestern PA. That, coupled with another day of above-freezing temperatures, will again make snow accumulation here tough to achieve.
TEMPERATURES
Generally, we can expect a couple of days on Monday and Tuesday before temperatures moderate somewhat on Wednesday. In addition, it’ll be breezy at times, so wind chill values will play a role in the comfort level.

The bottom line? Don’t expect much in the way of accumulating snow here out of this system. It will snow on occasion, and temperatures will be colder than normal. But impactful snow accumulation looks to be limited here in the Tuscarawas Valley area.
I’ll post any updates here if or when anything drastic changes develop in the forecast.
