Although any storms that arrive locally here after sunset should remain below severe criteria, some could still produce strong gusty winds and hail.

The potential for strong storms will diminish after sunset and tonight as instability weakens with the loss of daytime heating. Showers and sub-severe thunderstorms will probably continue overnight, however.
The threat for showers and sub-severe thunderstorms will continue on Tuesday with a slow-moving cold front. Lack of instability and warm air aloft will limit the potential for severe thunderstorms. We can expect cooler temperatures returning to the region behind the front on Wednesday.
