Our weather will turn warm and increasingly humid on Wednesday ahead of a cold front that will likely approach and cross the east-central Ohio region Wednesday evening. Some of these storms may carry a damaging wind and isolated tornado threat in our area mainly between 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM Thursday.
The risk of tornadoes is very low (2%) in our area Wednesday evening, but it isn’t zero. In addition, some cells will have the potential to produce heavy rainfall Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Although the threat for severe thunderstorms will likely exit our area around or shortly after midnight, a second wave of low pressure may ride along the cold front Thursday through the early morning on Thursday. This will likely result in additional rainfall through lunch time on Thursday.
High pressure will build into the region Thursday night and Friday, returning dry conditions on Friday. Temperatures on Friday should reach the mid to upper 70s then warm into the low-80s on Saturday with in increase in humidity. The next chance for rain arrives on Sunday with another cold front.
