Back in January of 2019, TuscWeather became installable as a webapp that you can add to your phone, tablet, or other mobile devices. It works the same as any (native) app but the installation process is a little different than what you’re used to. You don’t have to visit the App Store or Google Play and go through the clunky process of downloading and installing our app.
FEATURES
Unlike TV and national weather apps, our app focuses exclusively on weather in the Tuscarawas Valley and surrounding area.
- Current weather conditions in our area updated 4-times each hour 24/7
- Our exclusive ‘in-house’ 7-Day Forecast updated through the day
- Hourly forecast 8-hours out updated on the hour
- Severe weather information for our area from the National Weather Service
- Opt-in push notifications when local weather updates are published
- Weather information from several local communities updated hourly
- Secure and private. No data harvesting of your personal information and location tracking software
- Weather information and details that are not available from national providers
- Automatic app updates. No downloads
- Created, updated, and managed LOCALLY
Most mobile devices will install our app with no hassle. And, once it’s installed, you can access most features when you’re offline or out of network range.
This is the same Progressive Web App (PWA) technology used by a number of leading internet companies including Twitter, Trivago, Starbucks, Pinterest, Uber, – and surprise – The Weather Channel, to name a few.
We hope you like our local weather app but once installed on your device, the app can be uninstalled from your app manager just like any other app.
ADD TO HOME SCREEN PROMPT

- Tap ‘Add’ to complete.
NOTE: The webapp does not offer National Weather Service weather alerts. We may at some point include this feature but for now, there are plenty of apps that offer this service. I highly recommend the FEMA app. IT’s free and available on Google Play and the App Store. It has the option of including up to 5 counties, which is perfect for folks who live or work near our neighboring counties. I’ve used this app for several years and it has never failed or given me false alerts.
Thank you for using the TuscWeather app. As always, your suggestions and feedback are welcome. If you like having a local weather information resource and the TuscWeather App fits your needs, please tell your family, friends, and colleagues about our app.
Thank you for choosing TuscWeather. I sincerely appreciate your support.
