As I cautioned in this morning’s update, changes to the forecast are needed. This update will give you the latest information regarding tomorrow’s (Thursday’s) winter storm.
- The forecast for freezing rain and snow accumulation totals have increased slightly.
Colder air migrating into the system as well as morning virga cooling the atmosphere a little more than previously thought Thursday morning will bring changes to the morning precipitation types. Snow and sleet will be possible during the morning commute.
Snow showers and freezing rain may persist for a longer duration than in previous forecasts.
Total ice accumulation forecast calls for 0.01″ to 0.03″.
Total snow accumulation is 1″ to 2″.
