Sunny and Mild Wednesday but Rain Follows on Thursday

After a cold start, Wednesday will warm nicely under bright sunshine and a southerly breeze. Afternoon highs will top out in the 45° to 48° range across the Valley. That’s about 6° above average for us. We stay dry overnight and temperatures won’t be as cold.

Mild temperatures will continue on Thursday but it will be a cloudier day. Rain showers will be possible late in the afternoon and evening. Afternoon temperatures will be quite mild by late December standards and most neighborhoods will top out near 50°. Rain is a pretty sure thing Thursday night and Friday.

The storm system responsible for all the rain will away Saturday. Total rainfall over the next 72 hours should amount to a half an inch to one inch in our area.
