A warm front will approach and cross east-central Ohio tonight bringing gusty winds and rain. Some gusts may reach 30/35 mph at times overnight. Temperatures tonight will warm after midnight then remain fairly steady and relatively warm at around 46°.
After a rainy and windy night, spotty showers and breezy conditions will continue into Friday. Wind will be a concern tomorrow with gusts in the 25 mph range during much of the day. Temperatures will be warm to around 60° in the Valley.
But this is late December and you know those 60° temperatures aren’t going to stick. A cold front will sink through the region Friday night. While widespread rain is not anticipated, there may be a spotty shower or two as the front crosses. Drier air will work back into the region Saturday morning bringing an end to the rain. The big change will be temperatures. Saturday will bring area temperatures back to the mid to upper 30s.
Clouds will hang tough on Saturday, but Sunday will bring a nicer day with partly sunny skies. Rain will move back over the region on New Year’s Day. Much colder air will move in after the New Year.
