A preliminary report from The National Weather Service in Cleveland has confirmed a weak (EF0) tornado touched down near Navarre in Stark County at around 8:15 PM during last evening’s severe thunderstorms.
The tornado then traveled northeast for about 4 miles finally ending in eastern Perry Township. The majority of the damage included uprooted trees and broken limbs. Minor roof and siding damage was reported to a few homes along the tornado’s path. No injuries were reported.
An EF0 tornado classification means that winds were 65 to 85 mph. A full report from NWS will be released later today.
