Today will not be a very springlike day. Spotty snow showers and light rain will visit from time to time as a clipper system crosses the Great Lakes. A quick-hitting snow squall that would reduce your visibility can’t be ruled out in any one spot today. FutureCast radar for today through 1:00 AM Saturday:
Wind out of the northwest will turn breezy as well. Expect winds 10 to 20 mph with occasional gusts to 30 mph this afternoon. Gusty winds will continue tonight decreasing after 3:00/4:00 AM Saturday.
Temperatures today won’t do much better than 40°/42° and those stiff breezes this afternoon will keep wind chills in the upper 20s.
You might see some snow sticking to the grass – especially if you happen to end up getting one of those quick-hitting squalls. But with the sun at a much higher angle now than in the dead of winter, the roads will just stay wet. Much nicer weather moves in for the weekend.
