Monday Local Hourly Rain Odds

Monday will start out dry but low pressure and an advancing cold front will bring increasing clouds and chances for rain to the Valley. Rain will spread into the Valley west to east. Rain will become likely in all locations by late afternoon/early evening.

Chances for rain are calculated at my location in New Philadelphia. Your mileage may vary.

Rain will continue locally Monday night into Tuesday morning. Rain could fall at a moderate rate at times – especially Monday night into early Tuesday morning.

Monday will be a warm day under a southeast flow. Afternoon highs locally will reach the mid-70s. Southeast winds will turn gusty Monday with sustained winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph.

Rain will taper off as we go through Tuesday morning and should end before lunchtime. Drier and colder air will funnel into the Valley Tuesday afternoon. Morning temperatures in the mid-50s won’t warm much more than 5° or so in the afternoon. Winds will remain breezy, but sunshine will eventually break out Tuesday afternoon.

Total rainfall during the period Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon will amount to a half to one inch.

Dry but chilly temperatures in the low-40s will return for Tuesday night.
