Winds will gradually increase overnight tonight then quickly pick up after sunrise tomorrow morning. As we get closer to lunchtime we are expecting drier air to move through the area and start mixing the boundary layer – that is when we will probably start to observe high wind gusts.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for Tuscarawas – as well as all surrounding counties – from 10:00 AM Wednesday until 7:00 AM Thursday (Thanksgiving Day). Southwest winds are expected to reach 20 mph to 30 mph with gusts as high as 50 mph.
Local impacts can include:
- Blowing debris and unsecured objects
- Downed tree limbs and trees
- Downed power lines
- Debris blowing across roads
- Scattered power outages
