Thursday Local Rain Chances

Posted Wednesday PM, March 10, 2021

Thursday will bring another warmer than average day but chances for rain showers will gradually increase as a cold front advances into the region. Rain will become likely as we get deeper into the afternoon.

While the bulk of the rain tomorrow morning will be spotty and light, showers will become more widespread during the afternoon and evening. There is a slight chance for thunder as well but the highest odds for a thunderstorm will set up west of our area. No severe storms are likely.

Showers are likely to continue Thursday night then taper off Friday morning as the front sinks south and east of the region. Generally speaking, about a quarter to a half-inch of rain can be expected tonight through Friday afternoon.

Temperatures will be slightly cooler on Thursday than they were today, Afternoon highs should top out in the mid-60s.

Be safe out there.
