Warmer, with Decreasing Rain Chances Tuesday

The Monday PM Update Posted March 15, 2021

You may see snow showers on your radar app this evening and wonder where’s the snow. It is snowing aloft, but dry air near the surface is evaporating everything before it reaches the ground. Rain showers tonight will eventually overcome the dry air we have overhead and light rain will become likely before 11:00 PM. Some sleet could mix in at times overnight but any sleet locally would be minor.

Chances for rain will continue into the early morning as we all head out to work and school. The best odds for showers in your neighborhood will be mainly during the morning. We will see decreasing chances for precipitation as we go through the afternoon in the Valley.

Cloud cover will be pretty consistent through the early afternoon but we may see some clearing late in the day. Temperatures will be warmer tomorrow. Highs in the afternoon will top out in the mid-50s across the Valley. Slightly cooler temperatures can be expected in our northern locations. Total rain amounts locally will run around a tenth of an inch.

Drier weather and mild temperatures will setup for Wednesday.

Have a great Tuesday and be safe out there.
