Temperatures on Saturday should warm to the mid to upper-30s so the majority of precipitation that occurs in our area will likely be rain. There can be a brief period early Saturday morning where some wet snow tries to mix in. Either way, we should see little impact on travel locally. The roads will be mainly wet.
While the temps on Saturday will be above freezing, gusty south winds coupled with any rain will make it feel colder.
Temperatures on Sunday will turn colder, however. Most area locations will see afternoon highs in the low to mid-20s. With winds becoming northerly, scattered to isolated bands of snow are likely. This shouldn’t be enough to cause any widespread problems or accumulation in our area – At most, maybe an inch.
Then get ready for some serious cold Monday through Thursday morning. The NWS has all of Ohio highlighted for an Extreme Cold Watch, so it will be cold everywhere. Expect daytime highs to stay in the single-digits and below-zero nighttime lows. Wind chills will be an issue as well. It won’t take much of a breeze to push wind chills 15° – 20° below zero during the night and early mornings.
