A few showers will remain possible through about 10:00 PM this (Thursday) evening as a weak cold front slides south through the region. High pressure then builds in overhead on Friday, setting us up for a string of fantastic weather that will continue through the Labor Day weekend.
Temperatures will be a bit cooler than normal, however. If your plans include one of the Tuscarawas Valley’s high school football games, take a jacket. It’ll be chilly after the sun goes down Friday evening with temperatures falling way below normal for this time of the year.
Patchy fog may develop after 2:00 AM Saturday and persist until Saturday morning. After the fog lifts, expect a mainly sunny day with daytime temperatures a bit cooler than normal. Sunday and Labor Day will feature abundant sunshine along with a gradual warmup through the period.
Temperatures on Monday will be pretty much spot on average for early September in our area.
As one would expect, the lack of rain this month is already having an impact on our area. The latest Drought Monitor issued this morning shows dry conditions expanding across Ohio. We’re currently running a rain deficit of just under 3 inches in the Tuscarawas Valley area.
