The low-pressure system that brought showers and thunderstorms to east-central Ohio over the weekend will exit south of the area Sunday night. Monday will start out with clouds, but high pressure will build into the region through the day, allowing skies to become mostly sunny by mid-afternoon.
Dry weather and seasonal temperatures should then continue through Tuesday. That low to our south, however, will reverse course and drift back north Tuesday night into Wednesday, returning chances of showers and thunderstorms to the area.
While every day won’t be a washout, the threat of periodic showers and storms will remain in the forecast through the end of the week.
Temperature-wise, we’re looking at daytime highs near or just slightly above average for the week.
It will remain quite humid this week, though. Dew points across the area are expected to run in the upper 60s to low 70s during the second half of the week and remain elevated through the weekend.
There are no clear signals for any severe weather that may impact our weather at this time. We will, however, continue to monitor conditions during the latter half of the week for any signs of severe thunderstorms.
