Warm, Humid, and Unsettled Weather Pattern Ahead

A warm, humid, and unsettled weather pattern sets up today across the region as high pressure exits off to the east. That will initiate a more southerly flow into east-central Ohio and pump a warm and humid air mass.

While temperatures won’t be extremely hot in the coming days, it will become quite humid today. Get used to it. The humidity today will likely stick around for several days ahead.

While it probably won’t rain all the time over the next several days, every day will bring chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms – most likely during the warmest parts of each day.

Generally, we’re not anticipating any severe thunderstorms, but any storm that does develop could contain gusty wind and heavy rainfall.

Friday would be THE day to pay attention to, as far as strong or severe storms go. A cold front will cross the region at some point, and could bring a round of organized thunderstorms along with it. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see how the front times out.

Weekend showers/storms can’t be completely ruled out at this time, but the models have trended slightly drier with the last couple of runs.

This unsettled and humid pattern looks to remain in our future as we head into early next week.
