Friday morning snow update

9:14 AM | Light snow showers will continue pushing east across the Valley this morning ending by lunchtime. Reports indicate heavier snow accumulation occurred along and south of I-70 so if you must travel south today, be aware of more snow in those locations.

While light snow will continue for a few hours yet, I’m not expecting much more accumulation. I did bump the snow totals up slightly from yesterday’s forecast, though. I would expect communities in the southern half of the county to lean more toward the higher end of the forecast before it’s all said and done.

On the plus side, temperatures today will not be as cold as recent days and most places will get into the mid-20s for the afternoon high.

Dry weather is expected through Saturday and Sunday as weak high pressure moves in this evening. Temperatures will warm through the period with afternoon highs in the low-40s Saturday. Sunday will bring highs in the low 50s.

Have a great weekend. Remember, you can always check the latest Tuscarawas Valley Forecast on the web or the TuscWeather App.
