Chances for showers and thunderstorms will gradually increase Friday as a much-advertised cold front approaches the local area. MOST of the rain and the steadiest rainfall associated with the system will occur overnight Friday into early Saturday morning. Saturday will feature decreasing rain chances through the day.
Thunderstorms will be possible mainly during the afternoon and evening on Friday. There is a LOW RISK (level 1 on a scale of 1-5) for a strong thunderstorm capable of producing high winds.
SATURDAY’S warmest temperatures will be in the morning with decreasing afternoon temperatures. Temperatures will cool to the mid-40s by Sunday morning. It will also turn breezy Saturday afternoon with west to northwest winds of 10 mph to 15 mph.
It will remain breezy but Sunny on Sunday with afternoon highs in the low-60s.
