Chances for scattered snow showers will increase later today with a passing disturbance that could cause slick spots on untreated roads and walkways.
Most of the snowfall in our local area will be light to moderate. There is, however, a small chance that a few heavier bands of snow could develop. These heavier bands of snow could result in quick accumulating snow and patchy slick spots during the evening commute.
Total snow accumulation should end up as an inch or less. Snowfall should decrease as the evening progresses and the disturbance shifts off to the east.
Another cold night is on tap for tonight with temperatures dipping to around 10° by early Wednesday morning. Our next best chance of snow will arrive on Thursday with another disturbance. Locally we’re also looking at an inch or less of additional snow out of this next one.
