Slow-moving low pressure to our south will spread widespread rain showers into the Tuscarawas Valley later this evening. Once the rain arrives, we’re likely to see steady rainfall overnight into Thursday.

While the steadiest rain is likely to occur tonight and Thursday morning, periodic rain showers will remain in the forecast through Friday. A soaking rain is likely with this system. Most of the area could end up getting 1″ to 2″ of total rain tonight through Friday.

Since the rainfall will be spread out over an estimated 48-hour period, there is little concern of flooding issues locally.
In addition to the rain, easterly winds will pick up tonight as well. Breezy conditions will continue on Thursday and Friday with occasional gusts in the 20 to 30 mph range.
HALLOWEEN
Chances of rain showers are forecast to decrease on Friday as the system pulls off to the east. Light rain can’t be completely ruled out, but most of our area should be dry by Friday evening. The wind, however, is likely to remain breezy, and temperatures are expected to run around 50 degrees.
