A weak disturbance will cross the Great Lakes region tonight and Sunday, bringing precipitation chances to the area. Snow is expected during the morning hours on Sunday, mainly north of the Tuscarawas Valley. Light rain showers will be possible in our area during the afternoon.
I can’t 100-percent rule out some light snow/flurries in locations north of New Philadelphia Sunday morning, but this shouldn’t amount to much more than a light coating in spots.
A cold front associated with this will bring another round of cold air to our area Sunday night and Monday. Temperatures on Monday morning will likely fall to the low 20s to upper teens. High pressure will return dry and quiet weather on Monday. Daytime highs on Monday will max out in the upper 20s.
A clipper system pushes a warm front through eastern Ohio on Tuesday night. Rain showers are favored in our area with this system Tuesday night and Wednesday. Rain will likely transition to snow on Wednesday night as the system pushes a cold front through. As of midday Saturday, snow accumulation in our local area should be light.
