Scattered, on-and-off snow showers are likely today across the Tuscarawas Valley. Some of these could be briefly heavy enough at times, which could have an impact on travel. The scattered nature of today’s snow could result in large variations in snow amounts in different areas.
Snow showers and snow squalls can occur mainly from around 8AM to 5PM today, just about anywhere. Expect quick snow accumulation from a light dusting to an inch of snow in just about any location through the period.
Snow showers/squalls will begin to taper off late this afternoon or early this evening as high pressure starts to build into the region. Temperatures will remain cold with daytime highs only reaching around 30°. Today could very well be the coldest St. Patrick’s Day on record at New Phila. The current record is 31° (1994).
