Chances for another round of impactful snow Friday night into Saturday morning are trending upward. there are important differences in model solutions as one would expect this far out. However, most of the modeling at this time favors enough snow accumulation to shovel/plow.
As it always is with winter forecasting, timing, and snow amounts will come into focus around 48 hours out. At this time, higher snow amounts look to favor areas south of I-70 once again. Fluctuations in the track of the system are likely, though.
Dry conditions are likely to return Saturday night and Sunday under high pressure. Yet another system may develop and cross the region early next week.
