Updated Local Snow Amounts and Timing for Friday – Saturday

Our next winter system will spread snow into east-central Ohio late in the day on Friday. Light to moderate snowfall will likely continue through the overnight hours into early Saturday morning.

Most of the snowfall rates will be light but it is expected to snow steadily for several hours. Snow will gradually accumulate and will likely impact Saturday morning road conditions. Generally, we can expect everyone to end up with around 2 inches of snow locally.

Snow showers should taper off around sunrise on Saturday. Periods of light snow/flurries will continue through Saturday morning with little to no additional accumulation.

We should remain dry on Sunday. Clouds will be tough to scatter out. The next low pressure system looks to take shape off to the north and slide through the Great Lakes region. Snow showers could arrive as early as Sunday night but it’s looking more likely to be Monday morning. There is not a lot of moisture with this system, so local accumulation should be on the low end.

This will likely be the last update for this system unless there are major changes in the track or intensity. – Joe
