Well, we have certainly been having a stretch of very warm and humid days this summer. That trend will continue into at least the first half of this last week of July. But, a pattern change is on the way for latter part of the week that will bring refreshingly cooler temperatures and much less humidity to the Tuscarawas Valley.

Showers and storms will be scattered about again today (Sunday). The most numerous will move through the region during the afternoon and evening hours. As it was yesterday, some of the storms will have the potential of producing heavy downpours and gusty wind. Flash flooding is possible.

We’ll start to see those shower and storm chances taper off in the afternoon and end by Sunday evening. Patchy fog is likely late tonight into Monday morning.
Cloud cover will help hold daytime temperatures to the mid to upper-80s, but it will continue to be quite humid.
Mainly dry weather will prevail Monday and Tuesday. It will be hot and humid with daytime highs in the low-90s and dew points in the low-70s.
Wednesday looks like it may be the last hot and humid day for a while. A cold front is poised to move through the region toward Wednesday night. It will depend on the timing of the front whether we might expect some strong storms or not. That will be determined in the next few days.

The cold front does look potent enough to drive cooler and drier air down into east-central Ohio region Thursday and Friday. That will likely push daytime highs down to the upper-70s to low 80s. Dew points will decrease to the 50s by Friday.

We will likely see a much more comfortable and rain-free weekend with daytime temperatures in the low-80s and much lower humidity.
Thanks for taking a few minutes out of your day to catch up with our local weather. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. – Joe
